Los Angeles-based Dive Warriors, a non-profit charity dedicated to helping disabled veterans by offering training and participation in scuba diving, is raising money for their programs with an upcoming raffle.

Dive Warriors provides a safe environment for wounded veterans to dive and experience the beauty and wonders of the underwater world. Their programs are designed to help improve their lives physically, mentally and emotionally.

“Water and the feeling of weightless provides the perfect gravity-free environment for those veterans who might otherwise struggle on land – it helps build confidence and gives them a sense of accomplishment. It helps them take on challenges that may once have seemed impossible to them”, their website explains.

With the help and support of Leisure Pro and Dive Rite, Dive Warriors is raffling off a Dive Rite Transpac XT BCD and a Voyager Wing. The Transpac is the system used by all Dive Warriors staff for its comfortable fit and excellent trim features, and is very popular among both recreational and tech divers. The money raised from the raffle will help Dive Warriors continue the work they do training disabled veterans to scuba dive and taking them on trips where they can dive and bond with other disabled veterans.
