DiveNav has announced the availability of a new version of its Smart Dive Computer product that supports the new iPhone 6s Plus.

This Smart Dive Computer uses DiveNav’s Smart Dive Buddy depth and temperature sensor to track the diver depth profile. It also integrates a still/video camera, a Gauge mode and an advanced dive computer mode. Additionally, the Smart Dive Computer integrates a Dive Sites manager, a comprehensive logbook, a digital compass and can be equipped with underwater maps of dive sites.

The dive computer features DiveNav’s implementation of the Buhlmann ZH-L16C decompression algorithm, supports Nitrox, has 3 levels of conservatism and integrates several user programmable alarms.

“The large screen of the iPhone 6s Plus allows us to design a system with exceptional readability”, says Alberto Mantovani, CEO, DiveNav, Inc. “By overlaying typical dive computer data such as current depth and remaining dive time on the camera screen we can offer to divers an affordable, easy to use, integrated dive computer and digital camera solution”.

The Smart Dive Computer for iPhone 6s Plus is compatible with underwater housings from iPix and Watershot.

The Smart Dive Computer for iPhone  is also compatible with the iPhone 4s, 5, 5C, 5s, 6, 6s and 6 Plus and is compatible with several underwater housings from Bonica, iPix, Nauticam, Seashell and Watershot.

The Smart Dive Buddy kit for smartphones retails for $199 and can purchased from any DiveNav’s authorized dealer or directly from DiveNav’s online store. The Smart Dive Computer app for iPhone is available for free on Apple App Store.
