Leading Dive Training Organization and Global Travel Leader align to Raise Dive Industry Awareness among Millennials
PADI today announced a year-long partnership with Contiki, the world’s number one travel company for 18-35 year olds. The two companies will partner to offer Contiki’s expansive network of millennials who travel the world on a quest for adventure an opportunity to now add the thrill of scuba diving to the top of their must-do list. The partnership aims to drive awareness of scuba diving among young travelers as well as generate increased business for PADI Dive Centers and Resorts located at Contiki’s expansive network of destinations around the globe.
“Our hope is that this collaboration with Contiki will benefit PADI Members and the dive industry as a whole,” said Kristin Valette, vice president marketing and communications, PADI Americas. “We are continually finding new ways to attract more people to the sport of scuba diving and targeting this critical group of adventure seekers is a perfect example. We anticipate that there will be an increased need for dive training, equipment and travel sales as awareness and trial of the sport grows with these millennial travelers.”
“No two travelers are alike – each person wants a variety of unique experiences available when they travel abroad,” said Melissa da Silva, president of Contiki Vacations. “By partnering with PADI, millennial travelers exploring the world with Contiki will have even more opportunities to dive deeper in every destination, and create their own unique travel story – by land and by sea.”
PADI Dive Centers and Resorts interested in opportunities with the PADI and Contiki partnership should contact their regional PADI Retailer and Resort Association for more information. Dive businesses that are not yet PADI Members can also contact the Retailer and Resort Association to learn about all of the member benefits and how they can join the world’s leading dive training organization.
