Shearwater Research has just announced the release of the Perdix 3, a new full-size dive computer featuring an AMOLED display, titanium construction, and expanded customization options aimed at both recreational and technical divers.

The Perdix 3 includes a 2.4-inch AMOLED display, protected by an aluminosilicate glass lens. According to Shearwater, the screen offers four times the resolution of previous Perdix models, with improved readability in both bright and low-light diving conditions.

The housing combines a titanium bezel with an armored casing designed to improve durability during deeper or more demanding dives. The computer also introduces an updated user interface with revised menu navigation and programmable quick-change settings intended to simplify switching between different dive modes and layouts.

“Perdix 3 represents our most refined balance of rugged engineering, advanced dive functionality, and user-focused design,” said Jason Leggatt, CEO of Shearwater Research, in the company’s announcement.

The unit supports air integration with up to four Shearwater transmitters, allowing divers to configure the computer for both single-gas recreational use and more advanced multi-gas diving setups. The vibration alert system (as used in other models) ensures critical dive notifications are never missed.

Additional customization features include a new “Big Layout” display mode with enlarged font sizing and 14 selectable screen color options for adjusting display visibility and appearance.

The Perdix 3 joins Shearwater’s existing lineup of dive computers aimed at technical, recreational, and professional diving applications. The retail price for the new Perdix 3 has not yet been announced.
