Just last week, after heavy rain washed pollutants into the ocean areas off Los Angeles, the Ocean Water Protection Program advised beach-goers to avoid getting into the water in southern California Beaches stretching from San Clemente to Long Beach. Now conditions have improved substantially, and all of the locations previously flagged as having possibly contaminated water have cleared up.
