I’ve been amazed at the progress of LED lighting in recent years, and one of the companies who makes great LED video lights is Swiss manufacturer Keldan Lights. I bumped into Daniel at the annual DEMA show in Las Vegas last week where he introduced some of his newest products.
Keldan Lights started in the early 1990s when Daniel Keller, an electrical engineer, manufactured a dive light as a birthday present to his wife. The performance and quality of the light was so good that he was asked to produced more for members of his local dive club, and the rest is history. Since then, Keldan Lights has grown to be a respected manufacturer of underwater video lighting equipment, and Keldan now supplies lighting equipment to recreational and technical divers worldwide, as well as to the Japanese Self Defense Forces (JSDF), the Swiss Police, and the Norwegian NAVY (among others).
At this year’s DEMA show, Daniel shared with us his newest video lights: The Video 4x, 6000 lumen light and the Video 8x that puts out 10,000 lumens. Here’s Daniel himself explaining the features:
Keldan lights are distributed in the USA through Nauticam USA. For more information, visit their website at keldanlights.com.
