Owners of the popular Rocio del Mar Live-Aboard Vessel are pleased to announce the launch of the new Quino el Guardian, a specialty vessel designed for conservation, education, research and unique charters in the Sea of Cortez, Socorro Island and the greater Pacific region.
According to Dora Sandoval, owner of the Rocio del Mar vessels, “We built this live-aboard with the same attention to detail, quality and excellence that guests have some to expect on the Rocio del Mar. The main difference between the two vessels is the mission. Quino el Guardian comfortably handles 18 guests – perfect for custom educational and scientific voyages.”
The first series of departures has just been announced, and divers now have the opportunity to be among the inaugural voyagers on the new liveaboard.
According to Dora Sandoval, owner of the vessels, “We’re now taking bookings for the first series of departures on the Quino el Guardian. Starting in early October, we are offering four different voyages.” She adds, “These are not just ordinary dive trips, but serious scientific expeditions – in many cases, once in a lifetime experiences.”
The schedule includes:
● Gulf of California: Natural History of the World’s Aquarium October 3rd-12th – $2,250
● Open Boat Trips: Explore the Sea of Cortez October 24th-31st – $1,750
● Be a Citizen Scientist: Shark, Manta Research and Conservation at the Socorro Islands Nov. 7-15 – $3,500
● Clipperton and Socorro: Big Migrations Expedition Jan 28 to Feb 11, 2016 – $4,995
Sandoval said that the Quino el Guardian was built and will be operated to the same high standards of excellence and performance that travelers have come to expect from the Rocio Del Mar. As with that popular vessel, demand for space on future departures is expected to be strong. Sandoval encourages interested divers and industry professionals to contact her office soon for more details about these inaugural departures and future ones for 2016.
