PADI Women’s Dive Day 2020 invites scuba divers to reconnect with the dive community and ocean locally or online amid global pandemic

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, California (July 10, 2020) – For the past five years, PADI® Dive Centers and Resorts across the globe have hosted thousands of divers each July at events commemorating PADI Women’s Dive Day. The annual event has evolved into a worldwide celebration bringing divers of all genders, ages, backgrounds and experience levels together to explore and protect the ocean they love. Since 2015, nearly 4,000 events have taken place around the world, in which divers came together for a variety of reasons: to protect ocean health, fundraise for social causes and, often times, take their firsts breaths underwater. On 18 July 2020, divers and ocean enthusiasts everywhere will continue the tradition – virtually and in person where possible – for the sixth annual PADI Women’s Dive Day.

“While PADI Women’s Dive Day 2020 (much like events everywhere) may look and feel very different than in past years, the spirit of this global celebration remains the same,” says Kristin Valette-Wirth, Chief Brand Officer of PADI Worldwide. “The day remains dedicated to transforming lives through diving, expanding and strengthening the dive community, and making the underwater world more accessible to all.”
