We met with Poseidon Diving Systems James Robertson at the DEMA dive show, where he shared with us the newest gear Poseidon is releasing for 2015, including updates to their popular Se7en rebreather system.
The Se7en rebreather has been touted as the “next generation rebreather”. It can be configured for either recreational diving or as a 100-meter rated technical rebreather, and features Bluetooth connectivity with an upgraded configuration tool that allows the diver to make instant configuration changes. The Bluetooth feature also allows the diver to download dive logs after the dives, and is now Mac compatible. A new mouthpiece system keeps the bail-out valve locked in place in closed or open circuit, while still enabling simple switches from closed to open circuit. The cover on the Poseidon SE7EN has a built-in handle and trim weight system, along with grab and lighting rails.
James also introduced us to additional products just being released: new 3, 5, and 7-mil wetsuits, their Atmosphere full-face mask (US Navy Approved), a new Emergency Bailout System, sidemount harness, a nice very-low volume mask, BCD’s and more (see the video as James walks us through each of these and more).
Poseidon products can be found in dive stores across the U.S. For more information, visit the Poseidon website at poseidon.com.
