The annual Diving Equipment & Marketing Association (DEMA) show took place November 14-17 in Las Vegas, and Stream2Sea helped keep everyone safe by providing more than 70 gallons of their eco-friendly hand sanitizer to vendors and attendees. The all natural sanitizer was distributed through more than four dozen stations located around the show floor.
The product available during the show was made from 62 percent pure ethanol, distilled from Florida citrus products, and kills 99 percent of germs within 15 seconds. (The CDC and FDA recommend using sanitizer with at least 60% ethanol alcohol to protect yourself against illness). While most hand sanitizer contains aquatic toxins and micro plastics, Stream2Sea’s does not.
All our sunscreens exceed the FDA’s requirements for broad-spectrum claims, offering protection from both UVA and UVB rays.
Stream2Sea’s President Autumn Blum said environmental research has shown that over 6,000 tons of skin care products enter coral reefs from tourist activities alone, and many of those sunscreens’, cosmetics’, and sanitizers’ ingredients are highly toxic to corals as well as other marine life.
Stream2Sea is currently available in recreational dive centers, resorts, training facilities and watersports operators around the world. For more information about Stream2Sea products and environmental outreach efforts, visit the company’s website at Stream2Sea.com.
