Light-And-Motion-Sidekick-GoPro-Light

Light & Motion, based in the Monterey Bay area,  has just announced that they will release its first GoPro action camera companion light line, the Sidekick, in April.

The Sidekick is small, low profile and at 123 grams – weighs less than the GoPro. Its factory-sealed design and clean simple mount allows Sidekick to seamlessly integrate with any GoPro set-up and go wherever a GoPro goes, including 180 feet underwater. Adjustable spot and flood modes give users the flexibility to control the amount of light to create the perfect POV footage.

Smart design features including regulated output, external USB recharging, battery status indicator and a spot function for navigation make Sidekick the perfect GoPro companion light.

Production of the Sidekick began this week in the company’s California factory. Those who supported the production of the Sidekick through Light & Motion’s Kickstarter Kickstarter campaign will receive the first run of lights this month. Sidekick is available for preorder through Light & Motion Dealers and on the company’s landing page by clicking here.

“We are thrilled that the Sidekick was so well received, and can’t wait to get them into the hands of GoPro fans,” said Daniel Emerson, CEO of Light & Motion. “The Sidekick was designed to be lightweight, powerful and mount securely next to the Go-Pro camera. It delivers a smooth, wide 600-lumen beam to enhance the range of great action shots.

The Sidekick line will include two models: the Sidekick Duo, with a spot and flood light, and the single beam Sidekick Flood. Light & Motion will also offer a Sidekick Dive Arm Kit that allows positioning the light over the camera.
